Tilter for repairing mining excavator components
Two-column tilter with electromechanical drive for rotating buckets, dipper handles, gearboxes and other excavator components weighing up to 25 t during hardfacing, welding and assembly.
We will send photos and drawings of the equipment on request via the contacts page.
Equipment
Description
The tilter is intended for mining equipment repair sections that rebuild large components of mining excavators: buckets with their lips and tooth adapters, sticks and dipper handles, swing and travel gearbox housings. The component is clamped between two faceplates and rotated about a horizontal axis, so welding and hardfacing of worn surfaces are done in the downhand position without turning the part over with a crane.
The drive column carries an electric motor with a worm gearbox: the transmission is self-locking, and the component is held in any position without additional locks, including when power is switched off. The second column is an idler (tailstock) and travels on rails, allowing the distance between the faceplates to be adjusted to the length of a specific component. The faceplates have T-slots for adjustable clamps and interchangeable adapters.
Depending on the range of components to be repaired, the tilter is supplied with a set of adapters for specific excavator models, a travel drive for the idler column, a radio remote and service platforms. A version with increased load capacity is manufactured for the buckets of the heaviest machines.
Features
Design features
- Welding and hardfacing in the downhand position — rotating the component to any angle brings the surface being rebuilt into a convenient position and cuts the time spent turning parts with a crane
- Self-locking drive — the worm gear holds the component at any point of rotation without brakes or locks, including when the supply voltage is lost
- Adjustable base — the idler column travels on rails; the distance between the faceplates is adjusted from 3000 to 7000 mm to suit the component length
- Soft start and speed control — a variable-frequency drive provides jerk-free acceleration and stopping, and the rotation speed is set from the pendant
- Interchangeable tooling — T-slotted faceplates accept adapters for buckets, dipper handles and gearbox housings of various excavator models
