Spray washing machine for locomotive parts and assemblies
A spray-jet chamber machine with a turntable for cleaning locomotive assemblies and parts with hot washing solution before inspection and repair.
We will send photos and drawings of the equipment on request via the contacts page.
Equipment
Description
The machine is designed to remove oily deposits, carbon, dust and grease residues from locomotive assemblies and parts before inspection, repair and assembly: axlebox assemblies, diesel engine covers and parts, brake rigging components, gearbox and auxiliary machine housings. Cleaning takes place in a closed chamber, so no washing solution aerosol is released into the shop.
Parts are placed on a turntable that rotates at about 2 rpm during the cycle. A pump delivers heated washing solution through manifolds with flat-jet nozzles arranged around the perimeter and above the table; jets at pressures of up to 0.6 MPa strip contamination from all sides of the part. Spent solution returns to the tank through a mesh strainer, an oil skimmer removes floating petroleum products, and the solution is reused many times over.
The chamber is made of insulated stainless steel, and the door opens across the full width for loading under a beam crane or a crane manipulator. The tank is heated electrically, or by steam on request. The control panel sets the temperature, cycle duration and table mode; hot-air drying, clean-water rinsing and an exhaust fan are supplied as options. Chamber dimensions and turntable capacity are selected for the largest part in the customer's range.
Features
Design features
- Closed circuit — The solution circulates between the tank and the chamber, passing through filtration and an oil skimmer, which cuts water and detergent consumption.
- Cleaning from all sides — The rotating table and nozzle manifolds around the perimeter and overhead give the jets access to every surface of the part.
- Enclosed chamber — The insulated stainless steel housing retains heat and keeps solution vapours out of the shop.
- Crane loading — The door opens to the full width of the chamber and the table is accessible from above for loading by beam crane or manipulator.
- Adjustable cycle — Temperature, washing duration and drying are set from the panel; the parameters are stored as programs.
- Sized to the customer's range — Table diameter, chamber height and heating power are selected for the dimensions and weight of the depot's parts.
