Description
The set is intended for outfitting inspection pits at locomotive service points where the running gear, brake rigging, traction motors and underfloor equipment are examined. Its task is to give the fitter light, compressed air and power at any point of the pit and to provide safe descent and movement beneath the locomotive.
The set is built from 6 m sections, each containing LED luminaires on a safe 36 V supply, cable ducts, 24 V and RCD-protected 220 V sockets and brackets for hanging tools. Air outlets with hose reels connected to the site's compressed air network are installed every 12 m. Access to the pit is by fixed ladders with anti-slip treads; pit ends and open areas are closed with removable guards.
Lighting is fed from a 380/36 V step-down transformer housed in a cabinet on the pit wall or in a separate recess. All components are made of galvanized steel with stainless fasteners and are rated for a damp environment, vibration and exposure to oil. On request the set includes pit trolleys for inspection, lubricant distribution lines, emergency lighting and drainage channels.

Design features
- Safe voltage — Lighting and hand lamps run on 36 V and 24 V, and the 220 V sockets are RCD-protected — working in a damp pit requires no additional measures against electric shock.
- Modular layout — 6 m sections are assembled into a pit of any length; when the site is rebuilt, the set is extended with new sections without replacing existing ones.
- Air and power where needed — Hose reels and sockets are placed so that the fitter never drags a hose more than 6 m from the connection point.
- Resistant to the pit environment — Galvanized steel, stainless fasteners and IP65-rated luminaires withstand moisture, oil and constant vibration.
- Ready for installation — Fasteners, embedded parts and wiring diagrams are supplied with the set; installation proceeds without shutting down adjacent pits.
