Equipment

Description

The 1000 L receiver is installed in a depot compressor station serving several repair stations: it takes air from one or two compressors and feeds the shop's common main line. This volume suits stations with an output of up to 6 m³/min, where automatic brake test benches, pneumatic tools at several stations and blow-off points operate at the same time.

Besides storing air, the receiver evens out the operation of the compressors: once the vessel is full they switch to idling or stop, and restart only after the pressure has dropped to the set point. This cuts the number of starts, extends compressor service life and lowers the station's electricity consumption.

The body is made of sheet steel with elliptical heads and rests on three legs with anchor plates. The shell carries an inspection hatch for examining and cleaning the inner surface, flanged inlet and outlet nozzles, bosses for the pressure gauge, safety valve and pressure sensor, and a drain at the lowest point of the head. The receiver is produced in two versions — for working pressures of 1.0 and 1.6 MPa — which differ in wall thickness and weight.

The standard scope of supply includes a safety valve, pressure gauge, shut-off cocks and an automatic float-type condensate drain. At the customer's request a pressure sensor with an output to the compressor station controller, an electronic timer-controlled condensate drain and heating of the drain assembly for unheated rooms are installed.

Features

Design features

  • Two pressure versions — Working pressure of 1.0 or 1.6 MPa — for general-purpose compressors or for higher-pressure networks feeding test benches.
  • Inspection hatch — The hatch on the shell gives access for examining, cleaning and inspecting the vessel without dismantling the pipework.
  • Automatic condensate drain — The float-type drain discharges moisture without operator involvement and prevents air loss during draining.
  • Fewer compressor starts — The 1000 L reserve lengthens the pauses between starts and reduces the load on compressor motors and drives.
  • Ready for automation — A boss for a pressure sensor and a mounting point for a pressure switch allow the receiver to be included in the station control loop.
