Vertical air receiver 500 L
A compact vertical receiver for a local air supply point or a small compressor: it smooths pulsations and builds up an air reserve at the repair station.
We will send photos and drawings of the equipment on request via the contacts page.
Equipment
Description
The 500 L receiver is intended for local storage of compressed air at an individual repair station or next to a low-output compressor. Typical locations are the automatic brake repair section, blow-off and painting points and the fitting shop, where pneumatic tools and small benches need a steady flow of air.
Compressed air enters from the compressor through the lower nozzle, the flow velocity drops inside the vessel and droplets of moisture together with oil settle on the bottom head. Air freed of droplets is drawn into the main line from the upper zone. Thanks to the stored volume the piston compressor cuts in less often, and the pressure at the consumer does not sag during short peaks in demand.
The body is a welded sheet-steel shell with two elliptical heads, mounted on three support legs with holes for anchor bolts. The body carries the inlet and outlet nozzles, bosses for the pressure gauge and safety valve, and a drain boss at the lowest point. The outer surface is protected with primer-enamel; on request the inner surface is coated with an anti-corrosion compound.
The basic configuration includes a spring-loaded safety valve, a pressure gauge with a three-way cock and a ball drain valve. Optionally the receiver is supplied with an automatic condensate drain, a check valve at the inlet and a set of adapters for the thread of the customer's compressor.
Features
Design features
- Small footprint — The 600 mm body diameter allows the receiver to be placed next to the compressor or against the wall of the section without allocating a separate room.
- Condensate separation — The bottom inlet and air draw-off from the upper zone ensure that moisture and oil settle on the bottom head before air is fed into the network.
- Ready for connection — The safety valve, pressure gauge and drain valve are installed and pressure-tested at the factory — only the pipework remains to be connected.
- Corrosion protection — External primer-enamel coating; on request an internal coating for operation with humid air without a dryer.
- Vessel data sheet included — Every receiver comes with a data sheet stating the design parameters, the drawing and the results of factory tests.
