Equipment

Description

The 100 l tank is intended for air brake, fuel injection and electrical equipment repair sections, where a large number of small parts pass through cleaning every day: air distributor spools and valves, driver's brake valve parts, injector nozzles, plunger-and-barrel assemblies, bearings, fasteners and contact assemblies. The unit removes grease, carbon deposits and fine chips before inspection, measurement and assembly.

Piezoceramic transducers are bonded to the tank bottom and driven by the generator at 40 kHz. The high frequency produces fine, dense cavitation that is safe for lapped surfaces and threads yet sufficient to remove deposits from passages and blind holes. The solution is heated by tubular heating elements to the set temperature and held there by a thermostat; the cycle duration is set with a timer on the control panel.

The tank and housing are made of stainless steel; the working vessel is double-walled and insulated. The generator and control unit are located in the lower part of the housing and protected from solution ingress. The delivery includes a mesh basket with handles, a lid, a drain valve and an overflow connection. The unit is floor-standing on its own frame; a benchtop version without the frame and a single-phase version are made to order. The standard connection is to a 3×380 V supply.

On request the tank is supplied with a frequency sweep mode for uniform cleaning, a second power stage for delicate parts, baskets with different mesh sizes and a tooling shelf in the frame. For sections with several operations we supply a matching rinse tank of the same volume.

Features

Design features

  • 40 kHz frequency — Fine cavitation cleans lapped surfaces, threads and small-bore passages without damaging edges or coatings.
  • Thermostatic heating — Tubular heating elements bring the solution to 40–80 °C and hold the temperature through the shift; heating can be started in advance by timer.
  • Double-walled stainless steel tank — Insulation reduces the energy needed to hold temperature, and the outer housing stays warm rather than hot.
  • Simple controls — Cycle timer, temperature setpoint and ultrasound switch on the panel; no special training is required for the operator.
  • Quick draining and servicing — A ball valve at the lowest point of the tank and an overflow connection allow the solution to be replaced and the vessel flushed in a few minutes.
