EMU car lifting and bogie roll-out unit
A set of columns on rail carriages with a synchronization panel and a pulling device for lifting an EMU car body and rolling its bogies out along the track over the pit.
We will send photos and drawings of the equipment on request via the contacts page.
Equipment
Description
The unit is designed for replacing and repairing bogies of multiple unit rolling stock over the pit of a repair track. The car is uncoupled from its section and positioned at the station, the columns are brought to the standard lifting points of the body, the body is raised, and the released bogie is rolled out along the track rails by the pulling device to the repair area or the crane zone. Bogie replacement is thus carried out over the standard pit without moving the car to another track or involving the overhead crane.
Four electromechanical columns are arranged in pairs on both sides of the track on carriages that travel along guide rails laid beside the pit. The operator aligns the carriages with the lifting points of the given series using marks, locks them and starts the lift. The controller compares the readings of the position sensors on all columns and keeps the body level; if the permissible tilt is exceeded, lifting stops. A self-locking screw drive rules out unintended lowering, and mechanical stands hold the body for the duration of the work.
The basic scope of supply includes four columns with carriages, guide rails for the length of the station, a control cabinet with a synchronization panel, a portable pendant and a pulling device for bogie roll-out with a rope or chain hitch to the bogie frame. At the customer's request the unit is extended to eight columns for lifting a two-car section at once, and supplemented with load weighing on each column, electric drive for carriage travel along the track and sets of lifting pads for several train series.
Features
Design features
- Rail carriages — The columns travel along guides beside the pit and are positioned precisely under the lifting points of any car in the series without floor marking.
- Synchronized lifting — The controller keeps body tilt within 5 mm using position sensors on each column and blocks lifting if synchronization is lost.
- Roll-out along the track — The pulling device pulls the bogie out from under the raised body along the repair track rails at a constant speed without a crane.
- Set of 4 or 8 columns — Four columns lift a single car; eight lift a two-car section without breaking the inter-car connection.
- Mechanical locking — After lifting, the body is set on locking stands and the bogie work proceeds with no load on the screw pairs.
